Who Has Time to Write Anyway?
Writing is weird. It’s kinda like running. They say it doesn’t cost anything to get started, but you can really get caught up in the details that keep you from doing it.
Take time, for instance.
I have plenty of waking hours in my day. But all of those hours are earmarked for other things. I could write a word here and there sprinkled throughout my day and I bet I could come up with at least 100 words “written.”
But writing doesn’t actually require time. It requires energy. Good energy, not the murky, diluted energy that you get when kids are talking to you and dogs are barking and you’ve already been staring at a computer for hours.
And, dear reader, that kind of energy is a commodity in limited supply indeed.
I had five minutes’ worth of that energy today.
